This team arrives extra early on Sunday mornings to prepare a continental style breakfast for the rest of the morning team members who come to setup, rehearse or otherwise get ready for the first service. They also prepare coffee for our Los Niños Café area which is available before each weekend service.

Los Niños Café:

A Cup of hot coffee in His name.

We believe that everything we do at Gateway Church should have a specific purpose, and that the purpose must be in harmony with our vision and mission. In this way we can avoid doing things just because “we should” or because “we’ve always done them” and end up losing the heart and meaning of doing them in the first place.

In 2006 we started a new missions strategy in the country of Honduras, which has so many desperate children in need of love, care and the message of Jesus Christ. This strategy will involve a number of trips by different teams for a variety of mission opportunities. There will be many ways in which we will be able to give towards those opportunities. One of those ways is right in front of us. We purchase gourmet coffee directly from Honduras, prepared there by people specifically for the purpose of raising support for the many mission projects there and the children in those projects. This excellent Honduran coffee is available in the rear foyer at Los Ninos Café before our Sunday morning services. Each cup costs just $1 and all of the funds will go directly to our missions endeavours in Honduras. And in case you’re wondering: this is really good coffee. Almost all of the Gateway staff are coffee-lovers-approaching-addiction-status, and we love this coffee. This opportunity will allow us to give our coffee the purpose that it should have: to do something for others, not just ourselves.

Jesus said, “If you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.” Matthew 10:42 We realize that many of us may not be able to give a cup of cold water to a child in Honduras, but we can have a cup of hot coffee right here in London, and be a part of the team giving those cups of cold water in Jesus’ name!

Bags of coffee are also available for purchase at the café for $10.00 per one pound bag. Please note that a portion of this also goes to missions in Honduras.
