W.E.S.T. is the Gateway Church Weekend Services Team, an exciting paradigm for creating, designing, and producing our weekend services. The goal of W.E.S.T. is for the team to use their various talents and abilities to produce weekend services that are culturally relevant and spiritually dynamic, utilizing a variety of creative elements to do so. We desire our weekend services to be a meaningful component in people’s spiritual journey. We seek to provide opportunities to worship God, connect with others, and hear messages of truth from the bible.

How It Works

The Executive Director provides overall vision for the philosophy and themes, spiritual and practical guidance, and the primary speaking at the services. Our Executive Director is Rick Boyes, Gateway Church’s Lead Pastor.

The Producer conceives of the framework for our weekend services, giving oversight to WEST and the team directors, and designing the services with the design team. Our Producer is Tim Schwindt, Gateway Church’s Music & Creative Director.

The Design Team conceives of creative ideas, determines the various elements of the weekend services, designs the services, and carries out associated tasks. Our Design Team is currently made up of: Amanda Raymer, Blair Mercer, Dave Cameron, Janine Buckles, John McDonald, Leona Tippel and Tim Schwindt.
